Itt has been 2 months since I posted on April Fools Day. Life has continued, and things have been extraordinary. Although I have allowed the community, parents, families, and kids to dictate the direction of the Art Garage, I have been reluctant to share anything.
Peoria, and my neighborhood specifically, has been little affected by the virus. People are pretty good at social distancing, but they are not completely isolating either. Family gatherings, friends barbeques and general outdoor activities are the norm here. I have family in Chicago and New York City and their lives are quite different. I hope that things remain unaffected, and people continue to use caution. Being safe is a good thing. Nonetheless, I love seeing that things are beginning to open up again, and that people are starting to connect in person. My hopes remain high for a beautiful and healthfilled summer.
