So I held a memorial to keep her memory alive in all of our hearts. She was the connector of the family, and without her, I can only be a pale imitation. Still, it was a good gathering, both in the real and in the virutal via Zoom. My dad and step-mom were true soul-mates, and last year for their anniversary I published Sue's blog. This year I created resin panels to sit inside the window looking over my parents ashes. They didn't exactly look like my sister's inspired designs, but I did my best. They are a lovely tribute, and I know my dad and Sue would love them. The Art Garage is not just for the kids. I love doing art, and love sharing that fun with the kids. Resin is especially satisfying. It has a life of its own. It is not surprising that I love using materials that create the art. I am a big believer in the power of nature. In life, allowing things to unfold naturally always beats the desire to control the outcome. I just need to hold true to the vision, and let nature do the magic.
